I know you probably expect me to list out some resolutions for you, but I decided that I wasn’t going to do that. There is too much to bore you with the details, but I realized what there is one thing that I need to do to accomplish them all… and that is to BE. BRAVE.
Quitting my job with a steady paycheck was scary and guess what, it’s still scary and probably will be for awhile. It’s scary to put my wedding collection out there and hope that brides like it. It’s scary to attend networking events and meet with brides for the first time. It’s ALL scary. But I’m going to do it because I want it SO much more than I am afraid of it.

If there’s anyone who can do it – it’s you. You are constantly producing gorgeous, strong, consistent work – with tons of passion evident. I can totally relate – I’m in the same boat… it’s been two years now since I left my full-time job and decided to go freelance… and it’s been scary, but really exciting! I think ‘be brave’ is going to be a big theme for me this year too!! So all of us ‘brave ones’ will have to support each other. Best of luck – I know 2012 is going to be a great year for you!!
Lauren, this is your old dad speaking. You’Re still my favorite! I am very proud of you. And you’re so talented! To quote the mother at the end of dirty dancing (you’ll have to watch it to get it) “I think she get’s it from me”.
